Apple Finally Sees the Light - Revises iPhone Developer NDA

apple-iphone-3g
Well, this sure was a long time coming....

As you may know, Apple has had a very harsh NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) since they opened the iPhone up to outside developers. And THAT is the reason you haven’t seen any iPhone developer manuals in your local bookstore, nor have you seen any iPhone developer conferences like the dozens (even hundreds) that are held for folks working in Ruby, FBML (the language for Facebook Apps), etc.

FINALLY Apple has seen the light (maybe it was the release of the first Android Google Phone that woke them up).

They’ve revised the NDA so that developers can share what they know of the iPhone’s development tools (the SDK, the process of an app’s approval process to be included in the app store, their own tips and tricks for iPhone app development, etc., etc.).

This means that within a month or so, we ought to see the first truly useful iPhone app development books & maybe even some courses on it at your local college.

The iPhone is now becoming a legitimate platform. Yay. Happy
